You'll probably know me best as a DJ and producer under the name basspet, but i also make visual art (if this website isn't proof enough? WIP) I help make shows with the rest of my crew at Impact! Foundation but also under my own party series, DISTORTION.
I am also a pagan, to what extent that really is important to me depends entirely on the day. But my practice consists mostly of using my turntables to cast spells onto dancers, freaks, ravers and anything else. If you're listening to me you're feeling the effects of my magic. My beliefs fall mainly into the thoughts that music can transcend time and location and take you to another place, where we can exist as one being, feeling one beat and dancing to the same energy, and my spellcasting tries to unify to that effect as much as it can.
toys!,
soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo many things. can you believe that?
my biggest love on this planet is hardcore, beyond any other thing, something about a pounding electronic kick at 200 bpm(or higher!) just really tugs at my heart strings(i'm serious, sometimes i cry to a really good hardcore song). I am in love with the sound and in love with the culture.
i heavily promote freeparty culture. one of the ultimate acts against a system is to live on the fringe, against capitalist structure and conventions and to live authentically and freely. they really really hate when you do that. normalcy is something that can only really benefit the bourgeois. and why the fuck would i do that?
i'm a big fan of video games also(wow its almost like being online has a bias towards liking other online things). My current favorite is Valve's Deadlock, which scratches an itch i didn't exactly know i was looking for. I used to be pretty big into VR games too. In fact, one of the first raves i ever went to was a hardtechno/schranz rave in VRChat, but to be honest, i've found interests outside of VR now that i've found connections in the meatspace. FUN FACT: I used to study game design! fuck that noise though. don't do it you'll hate yourself. take acid and start making art and music instead.
fine.
